Charlotte Ginsborg

Coming from a background in Fine Art and photography Charlotte Ginsborg is a filmmaker who works across a range of genres, including independent films, documentaries, promos and editorial. Her films often interweave documentary and fiction to explore people’s psychological relationship to work, community and sense of creativity. Working with composers, choreographers and spoken-word poets, she collaborates with documentary subjects to develop performances they perform in the films. Her films have been commissioned by Channel 4, the UNHRC, Arts Council England and Film London and have been screened and exhibited in galleries and film festivals nationally and internationally including; the Venice Biennale, the Serpentine Gallery, the Pompidou Centre, and the Walker Arts Centre, USA.

Her film, Over The Bones, was in competition at Rotterdam Film Festival, and her latest film, 22:22, premiered at the London Film Festival. Currently she is working in post-production on a feature documentary that combines boxing and dancing, and an observational documentary charting the experiences of residents of a London housing co operative during the Covid19 pandemic lockdown.
